The report notes that decision-makers are unsure which combination of technologies will be most effective in protecting against evolving threats.

While traditional methods such as stronger passwords and in-person interviews offer some protection, they are not sufficient to combat AI-enhanced fraud.

Biometric authentication, eID verification, and behavioural analytics are increasingly seen as essential components of a layered defence strategy.
